About This Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD practices. The individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable systems architecture, containerisation solutions, and continuous delivery pipelines. This role requires hands-on expertise in scripting, cloud technologies, and orchestration tools, along with a collaborative approach to problem-solving in an agile environment.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in architecture, infrastructure, and software development activities.
- Translate loosely defined requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex infrastructure, security, and development challenges.
- Perform incremental testing on code, processes, and deployments to streamline execution and minimise errors.
- Utilise open-source technologies and tools to meet project-specific requirements.
- Develop custom workflows using coding languages or scripting methodologies.
- Administer and upgrade Atlassian Jira and Confluence platforms.
- Support continuous delivery of projects and tools from development to QA and customer handover, ensuring ongoing support.
- 2–4 years of experience in programming/scripting with Python, Groovy, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of production-scale multi-tiered systems architecture and microservices management principles.
- Familiarity with agile software development practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, containerisation, and lifecycle management of Docker containers with full automation.
- Proficiency in container orchestration engines like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Solid experience with Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, automation, and feedback loop optimisation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong communication and customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
