About the Role

ZAGENO is looking for a DevOps Engineer.

This is an amazing opportunity to positively impact the Product deployment, Infrastructure, Security and Compliance of a high-growth, high-potential B2B e-commerce marketplace that is focused on the life sciences market.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving ZAGENO’s development and deployment environment and taking it to the next level for high velocity, high quality releases and updates. The successful individual will have a proven ability to collaborate with engineering and development leaders in deploying various environments, which can evolve and adapt to changes in a global business environment. This person will inherit established processes,

find opportunities for improvement and drive updates via process, tools and automation changes to remove toil across the organization and environment.

In this role you will:

• Enhance developer productivity and truncate software delivery timelines
• Should help provide Infrastructure and deployment abstraction for Developers and conduct Knowledge sharing for Tooling and Blueprints
• Build automated CICD setup using Trunk Based development approach using Github Actions
• Support all aspects of development and release pipelines and associated tools / capabilities, including providing tools/solutions as services to the development team per agreed upon SLA’s.
• Work with stakeholders on Cloud Cost Optimization
• Provision new environments on demand using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Drive improvements to in place integration solutions (ex: Github Actions, Google CI, AWS,GCP) alongside debugging known issues
• Use configuration management and deployment solutions (Ansible, Terraform) to improve Infrastructure as Code use across the ZAGENO environment.
• Use best practices for deployment and operations of monitoring and observability solutions.
• Provide engineering development support for a distributed microservices / container-based B2B SaaS platform environment.
• Producing deployment, configuration, implementation documentation.

About You:

• A computer science degree or a similar discipline
• 4-6 years of experience spanning Cloud Infrastructure architecture,CICD and network operations.
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure tools and experience with cloud infrastructure management and automation technologies. AWS cloud experience would be a plus.
• Excellent experience with designing & implementing CICD setup using Github Actions
• Excellent experience with Kafka (Confluent or open source) technology
• Experience with Enterprise Docker/Kubernetes container orchestration solutions
• Excellent programming skills and experience, using Python, Java, shell scripting, JSON for scripting, monitoring and automation.
• Demonstrable software infrastructure & configuration management experience using technologies such as: DataDog/Prometheus/Grafana/Elastic Logstask Kibana(ELK), JIRA, Git repositories, Red Hat Ansible/AWX, Terraform (Cloud or CLI), Spinnaker, Github Actions, FluxCD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Structured thinking.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional work teams up to task completion.
