SCOPE OF WORK
The role of a DevOps Engineer requires hands-on experience with Hetzner services, Linux system administration, and AWS services. The individual should be proficient in implementing modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD, Docker, and scripting. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to enhance system performance, automate processes, and improve software delivery pipelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Linux Administration
- Perform daily Linux system administration tasks, including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- 3–4 years of strong hands-on experience in Linux is mandatory.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure across various platforms.
Scripting & Automation
Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages to streamline processes and system tasks.
CI/CD Pipeline Management
Work with development teams to design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Containerization with Docker (Good to have)
Manage and deploy applications using Docker containers for scalability and simplified operations.
Cloud Services (AWS) (Good to have)
Work with AWS components like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation to extend and manage infrastructure capabilities.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support and improve DevOps practices across the SDLC.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of overall IT experience.
- 3–4 years of proven hands-on experience with Linux system administration (mandatory).
- Experience or knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with Docker is a plus.
- Exposure to AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation) is preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in MIS reporting and data analytics is an added advantage.
REQUIREMENTS
- UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Computers / IT, B.Sc in IT, BCA
- PG: MCA / M.Tech in Computers or related fields
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
