Overview
Role: DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, providing technical enablement, and ensuring the smooth operation of application components and subsystems that power our research initiatives. Your primary focus will be on writing code (primarily in Python or similar languages) to automate processes and integrate various systems within our AWS cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to manage and provision AWS resources.
- Design, test, and implement robust CI/CD pipelines, including automation, utilizing tools like Bitbucket/GitHub and Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and integration solutions using Python, Groovy, or similar programming languages.
- Architect, build, and manage application environments on the AWS Cloud platform, leveraging services such as EC2, EBS, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, S3, and EKS.
- Build, manage, and oversee the deployment of Docker images onto our EKS platform.
- Administer and troubleshoot issues on both Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Alert Manager, and Grafana to ensure system health and performance.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues across the application and infrastructure stack.
- Collaborate effectively with development and research teams to understand their needs and provide technical enablement.
- Document processes, configurations, and deployment procedures.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles with a strong understanding of L2 level skills in AWS, Python, Groovy, and Jenkins.
- Proven experience working with the AWS Cloud platform.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Demonstrated ability to design, test, and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation using Bitbucket/GitHub and Jenkins.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Groovy, or a similar scripting language.
- Experience working with a wide range of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, EBS, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, S3, and EKS.
- Experience in building, managing, and deploying Docker images, particularly on EKS.
- Solid experience in administering both Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Prior experience implementing and managing monitoring and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Alert Manager, and Grafana.
- Proven ability to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and resolve complex technical issues.
Good to Have:
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
- Understanding of additional monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, PagerDuty, Splunk, CloudWatch).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies independently.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹6,000,000.00 per year
