DevOps Engineer

About the Role:

Xtec Global is looking for a highly skilled and certified DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team based in SAS Nagar, Mohali. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, RDS, and S3, with a focus on automation, security, and system scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, manage, and scale AWS infrastructure including EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, S3.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Deploy and orchestrate containers using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor uptime, resource usage, and application health using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Write automation scripts in Bash, Shell, or Python to streamline deployments and system tasks.
• Manage S3 buckets and RDS instances, including backup, scaling, and performance tuning.
• Ensure cloud security compliance with access control, encryption, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring maximum system uptime.
• Participate in DR (Disaster Recovery) strategy planning and implementation.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Proficiency in AWS services, Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, and automation scripting.
• Strong grasp of cloud security, infrastructure scaling, and cost optimization strategies.
• Practical knowledge of monitoring tools and logging solutions.
• Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Certifications:

• ✅ AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional
• ✅ Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• ✅ Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• ✅ DevOps Foundation or equivalent certifications
