Responsibilities
- Good familiarization with cloud systems. AWS would be preferred.
- Good understanding of Linux systems and their operations for web hosting, e-commerce, DB hosting, docker and Vms.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipeline of Jenkins for zero downtime deployment
- Good Understanding of version control system like Github
- Good understanding of web server deployments from DNS to the actual deployments – Basic scripting knowledge on Linux.
- Basic understanding of the deployments of MySQL, PostgreSQL and other servers.
- Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and the associated tool set.
- General understanding of web server deployment troubleshooting.
- General understanding of reading and using the log files and monitoring systems.
- Excellent Linux system administration
- Above average on AWS or GCP or Azure
- Average on DB system management
- Good in Shell scripting
- Good in Scripting in either of these – Python/JavaScript/Powershell/Ruby
- Experience in Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience in Jenkins CI/CD
- Experience in Github VCS
- Good in Cloud security
- DevOps Exposure to Magento or RoR is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Some cloud certification would be an added advantage
- Having team management experience would be desirable
- Team player
- Person should be willing to work from a client location as and when needed
