DevOps Engineer

For over 30 years, Landmark has delivered industry leading geoscience solutions to the oil and gas industry.  Today, we have realized the opportunity cloud architecture offers and are building a state-of-the-art delivery system for cloud products.  The power of cloud architecture has allowed us to solve problems and create products the oil and gas industry has never seen before.  Our product and cloud engineering teams have been working to deliver these products to the AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

You will develop deployment infrastructure that will allow our products to be consumed by our customers across the globe over AWS and Azure cloud platforms.  This infrastructure includes deployment pipelines, orchestration software, monitoring and alerting systems.  You will participate in planning and execution of technology projects and operational excellence initiatives.  To accomplish this, you will work under the leadership of senior engineers who will guide and mold you into high performing devops engineers.  You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building good software as well as making that software achieve its operational goals.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• Streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks
• Troubleshoot and address infrastructure issues as necessary
• Ensure security and compliance of infrastructure by implementing best practices and tools
• Investigate new technologies and methodologies to better support products
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure and suggest areas for improvement

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science
• 2-3 years of dev-ops experience in cloud-based infrastructure in AWS/Azure
• Productive in Terraform, Ansible, Python, Linux Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and Java.
• Experience writing GitLab pipelines
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Familiarity with identity, scanning, and diagnostic tooling (AD, Okta, Wireshark, New Relic, and GitLab SAST/DAST scanning tools)
• Enthusiastic learner, tech savvy, thrives in fast-moving landscape
• Current industry-recognized certification is a plus
