🧠 Role Overview
We are deploying a critical drone docking platform that handles real-time telemetry, video feeds, remote commands, and autonomous control. As the DevOps Engineer, you will architect, automate, and manage the backend infrastructure ensuring scalability, observability, and resilience across on-prem and cloud environments.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines (GitHubActions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Automate provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Deploy scalable backend infrastructure using Docker/Kubernetes
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting(Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Implement securitycontrols, firewall rules,and secrets management
- Set up cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP (EC2, S3, EKS/GKE)
- Manage release pipelines for frontend, backend,and embedded codebases
- Enable disaster recovery, system backups, and remote logging
🔍 Skills Required
- Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, Traefik
- CI/CD tools – GitHub Actions, Jenkins,GitLab CI
- Prometheus, Grafana,ELK stack for observability
- AWS/GCP deployment & cloud security best practices
- Linux sysadmin, scripting (Bash,Python)
- PostgreSQL &MongoDB backups and clustering
- Experience with remote OTA deployments (bonus)
🎓 Qualifications
- MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
- BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
- Proven experience deploying real-time or IoT systems is a strong advantage
- Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals, container orchestration, and system security
- Experience with R&D-oriented teams, startups, or government-backed tech projects beneficial
- Clear documentation and communication skills in cross-functional settings
🌟 Nice to Have
- Experience with OTA (Over-The-Air) deployments forremote or embeddedsystems
- Exposure to drone systems, robotics infrastructure, or real-time telemetry services
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and Kubernetes Operators
- Experience deployinghybrid edge-cloud architectures (e.g., combining local servers and cloud infrastructure)
- Contributions to open-source DevOps tools or infrastructure scripts
