Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer at AgiliMed, you will play a key role in building and managing cloud environments (primarily AWS), creating scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure deployments, managing production-grade full-stack applications, and ensuring the security, resilience, and performance of our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Cloud Management:
Provision, configure, and manage infrastructure across AWS and other major cloud providers as needed.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Write, manage, and optimise CloudFormation templates, Terraform scripts, and automation scripts (TypeScript preferred).
- CI/CD Pipelines:
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for React.js (frontend), Node.js (backend), and serverless deployments using AWS services such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and Lambda.
- Production Support:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise production systems.
- Manage versioning, patch deployment, and incident response.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement production data security best practices.
- Manage networking, security groups, IAM roles, encryption policies, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other standards.
- Scripting and Automation:
- Develop management scripts in TypeScript or similar for tasks like database migration and infrastructure provisioning.
- Application Management:
- Provision and manage full-stack application environments (React frontend, Node.js backend).
- Containerise applications using Docker and manage serverless and container-based deployments.
- Monitoring and Observability:
- Implement monitoring and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, CloudFormation, VPC, IAM, etc.).
- Proven experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for React.js and Node.js applications.
- Strong scripting skills (TypeScript preferred; Python, Bash acceptable).
- Expertise with Docker containerisation and deployment.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, production data security, and infrastructure scaling.
- Hands-on experience managing monitoring and logging systems.
- Certifications essential:
Must hold relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Highly Preferred Skills
- Prior hands-on experience in React.js and Node.js development (full-stack background).
- Experience in database operations (PostgreSQL or similar).
- Experience working with serverless frameworks and AWS Developer Tools.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS).
Location Preference
- Preference will be given to candidates based in Chennai or Tamil Nadu.
- Candidates from other locations will be considered if exceptionally qualified.
