As a Frontend Engineer – React.js / Next.js with AI Expertise, you will design and build high‑performance, scalable, and user‑centric web applications that directly support DHL’s digital transformation agenda.
You will collaborate with architects, backend engineers, and AI specialists to integrate modern frameworks, AI‑driven capabilities, and automation into our digital solutions. Ensuring high performance, reliability, and security in everything you build will be central to your role.
From optimizing front-end performance to designing AI‑augmented interfaces, you will be shaping the experience of DHL’s global users. You will also collaborate with cross‑region teams across time zones—Cyberjaya, Prague, and Chennai—making strong communication skills essential.

As a Frontend Engineer – React.js / Next.js, having strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and Next.js is a huge plus.
Very good knowledge of TypeScript, UI performance optimization, and application architecture will also be an integral part of this role.
You are a technology aficionado; therefore, you have a good understanding of AI/LLM integrations, prompt engineering, embedding-generation, and building AI‑powered UI features.
You are able to work independently, prioritize, and organize tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross‑region collaboration with teams around the globe; thus, being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
YOUR WORK:
Frontend Engineering
- Build responsive, scalable, and maintainable web applications using React.js and Next.js.
- Develop reusable UI components and front-end architecture best practices.
- Optimize applications for performance and user experience.
- Implement state management with Redux, Context API, Zustand, or Recoil.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and ensure overall code quality.
- Ensure compliance with DHL’s security guidelines, coding standards, and documentation frameworks.
- Integrate LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Gemini, etc.).
- Build AI‑based features such as smart search, chat interfaces, recommendations, and automation.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to embed model outputs into UI components.
- Work with embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering principles.
- Work closely with backend engineers to optimize APIs and edge performance.
- Contribute to UI/UX collaboration using Figma / Storybook design systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide effort estimation.
- 8–10 years of strong frontend development experience.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- React.js (hooks, components, architecture)
- Next.js (SSR, SSG, routing, performance)
- JavaScript (ES6+) & TypeScript
- HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS/SASS/Styled Components
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Good understanding of secure coding, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with LLM‑based integrations (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Gemini).
- Understanding of prompt engineering and generative AI usage patterns.
- Experience building AI‑enhanced UI features preferred.
- Knowledge of Node.js or Python.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Understanding of micro‑frontend architecture.
- Hybrid work arrangements to balance in-office collaboration and home flexibility.
