DEVOPS ENGINEER – PAYMENTS INFRASTRUCTURE

Overview

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who can take complete ownership of our infrastructure. You will design, automate, maintain, and monitor the systems that keep our payments platform secure, fast, and always available. If you thrive in autonomous environments, enjoy scaling systems, and love building things from scratch, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
● Design and operate highly scalable, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure (AWS) capable of supporting mission-critical, real-time payment flows.
● Build fully automated, zero-downtime CI/CD pipelines enabling rapid, safe, multi-environment releases.
● Architect and manage container orchestration systems (Docker, ECS/Kubernetes) and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform at scale.
● Build robust observability systems—metrics, logs, traces, alerts—to ensure sub-second performance, high availability, and proactive issue detection using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and OpenTelemetry.
● Ensure bank-grade security and compliance by implementing least-privilege access, network isolation, secret management, encryption, and compliance practices aligned with DPDP, PCI DSS, and RBI guidelines.
● Drive reliability engineering through load testing, chaos testing, automated failovers, backup/restore pipelines, and DR strategies.
● Work closely with the team to optimize API performance, ensure smooth rollouts, and build infrastructure that can scale.

What We’re Looking For
● 3–6 years of deep DevOps/SRE/infrastructure engineering experience, ideally in high-scale, real-time systems (fintech/payments experience is a strong plus).
● Strong foundation in Linux systems, networking, and system internals.
● Hands-on AWS experience (VPC design, IAM, orchestration, scaling).
● Solid CI/CD and automation expertise.
● Deep experience with Docker and orchestration systems (ECS/Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and production-grade observability stacks.
● Strong understanding of security, compliance, and risk controls relevant to payments—network isolation, encryption standards, SIEM, PCI DSS, DPDP, etc.
● Experience with production observability tools.
● A systems thinker who is obsessed over reliability, latency, and failure modes, and who can design infra that’s resilient, predictable, and high-quality.
