Job Title: DevOps Engineer – GCP Specialist

Experience Level: 5 to 8 Years

Location: Pune

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and system reliability practices. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Cloud Build.

Maintain and enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring/Logging), Prometheus, Grafana, etc.

Automate cloud deployments and routine operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to ensure smooth code releases and enforce DevSecOps best practices.

Optimize cost, performance, and reliability of cloud-based systems and applications.

Manage container orchestration environments using Kubernetes (GKE preferred).

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner.

Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5–8 years of relevant DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.

Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, GKE, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Build).

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – preferably Terraform.

Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, etc.).

Strong understanding of containers and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes).

Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and cloud cost optimization.

Proficient in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or other relevant certifications.

Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid environments.

Experience working in SRE or platform engineering teams.

Exposure to policy-as-code tools like OPA or Forseti.

Knowledge of service mesh (e.g., Istio) is a plus.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to ₹1,800,000.00 per year

Experience:
