Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (L3 Certification)
Location: Noida

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly proficient EMV Certification Engineer to join our team. This role involves validating and certifying payment systems, POS terminals, card readers, and financial transaction solutions to ensure compliance with EMVCo, PCI-DSS, ISO 8583, and other industry standards. You will collaborate with regulatory bodies, testing laboratories, and internal teams to secure and maintain certifications essential for global payment acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
EMV Certification & Compliance:
Actively participate in Level 3 certification processes for payment devices, card readers, and software applications.
Ensure compliance with EMVCo, PCI-DSS, and contactless payment standards (Visa payWave, Mastercard PayPass, AMEX ExpressPay, Discover D-PAS, etc.), along with global regulatory requirements.
Work closely with external testing laboratories (UL, BCTC, FIME) and payment networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, UnionPay) to obtain necessary approvals.
Testing & Validation:
Develop and execute EMV test cases using tools like ICC Simulators, UL Brand Test Tool (BTT), Collis, FIME Savvi, VISA ADVT, and Mastercard M-TIP.
Analyze and resolve transaction failures by troubleshooting logs and collaborating with development teams.
Verify contact, contactless, and NFC-based mobile payment transactions to ensure a secure and seamless payment experience.
Process Improvement & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of certification test plans, results, issue logs, and compliance reports.
Enhance the EMV certification process through test automation, tool optimization, and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and training to development teams on EMV specifications and payment security standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with software developers, hardware engineers, QA teams, and product managers to integrate EMV compliance into the product lifecycle.
Coordinate with acquiring banks, payment processors, and card networks to facilitate the smooth deployment of EMV-certified solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of EMV protocols, cryptography, and secure payment processing.
Experience with ISO 8583 message formats, APDU command processing, and NFC technologies.
Hands-on expertise in certification tools like UL Brand Test Tool (BTT), FIME Savvi, Collis, Visa ADVT, and Mastercard M-TIP.
Practical experience with POS terminals, ATMs, mobile wallets, and contactless payment systems.
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or Java) for automation and log analysis is a plus.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in EMV certification, payment system testing, or financial transaction processing.
Exposure to payment gateway integrations, host testing, and regression testing for new payment schemes.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with payment networks, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders.
