We are looking for an experienced Senior MCU BSW Engineer – Low-Level Drivers to join a project with a major OEM. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and integration of hardware abstraction and peripheral drivers for automotive microcontroller (MCU)-based ECUs. Your work will enable reliable, performance-optimized software for Zonal Controllers, Body Electronics, and Powertrain Modules
.As a senior member of the Base Software (BSW) team, you will collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineers to bring up new platforms, implement peripheral control, and ensure compliance with automotive safety and quality standards

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate low-level drivers for GPIO, ADC, PWM, SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, and UART
- Develop complex drivers for hardware components not supported by standard MCAL modules
- Configure and integrate MCAL and hardware abstraction layers (IOHWAB) in AUTOSAR Classic
- Support BSP development and participate in board bring-up for new MCU platforms
- Optimize drivers for performance, determinism, and memory footprint
- Debug and troubleshoot using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG tools
- Define and review hardware/software interface requirements with HW and SW architects
- Collaborate with OS, sensor/actuator, and safety teams to validate drivers in real-world conditions
- Ensure robustness and compliance with ISO 26262, MISRA C, and ASPICE
- Test and validate low-level driver code with unit tests and software validation
- Design and implement Wakeup/Sleep requirements related to low-level drivers
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and test infrastructure
- Document driver architecture, configuration, and integration guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3–15 years of embedded software development for automotive or real-time systems
- Strong C programming skills with deep understanding of MCU architectures (ARM Cortex-M, RH850, AURIX)
- Experience with MCAL, AUTOSAR BSW, or custom low-level driver frameworks
- Hands-on experience with SPI, CAN, I2C, PWM, ADC, and related hardware interfaces
- Proficient in debugging tools and embedded development environments
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, MISRA guidelines, and ASPICE quality processes
Preferred
- Master’s degree in relevant field
- Experience with ASIL-B/D software development
- Knowledge of Vector DaVinci, EB tresos, or similar configuration tools
- Exposure to power modes, startup sequences, and fault detection
- Scripting experience (Python, Shell) for automation and testing
- Understanding of vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostic stacks (UDS, DoIP)
- Experience with bootloader integration and secure hardware interfaces
