Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Tester with a strong background in automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing test cases, familiar with Agile methodology, and have extensive experience in product development, including creating and maintaining functional requirement documents (FRD). This role requires a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and will involve close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution :

• Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, detailed test cases, and precise scripts for both manual and automated testing.
• Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure software meets defined requirements and is Testing :
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts to significantly improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Integrate automated tests seamlessly into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  
  

Manual Testing

• Perform meticulous manual testing to identify subtle issues that automated tests might overlook.
• Document and report defects with clear, detailed steps for reproduction and analysis of potential impact.
  
  

Product Development And FRD Writing

• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deeply understand product requirements.
• Accurately translate these requirements into comprehensive and concise Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), guiding both development and testing.
  
  

Agile Methodology

• Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process within the Agile Communication :
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and business analysts, providing clear updates on testing progress, identified issues, and overall quality status.
• Offer actionable insights and recommendations to enhance product quality and optimize testing efficiency.
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be :

• Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years specifically focused on automation testing.
• Strong experience in manual testing and proficiency in writing detailed test cases.
• Proficient in writing and maintaining comprehensive Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practical experience working within Agile teams.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Experience with manual testing techniques and defect management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
  
  

Soft Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
