Expert DevOps (Azure) Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Expert DevOps (Azure) Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Expert DevOps (Azure) Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Will be part of the team developing cutting-edge IoT solutions. Key role in shaping our DevOps strategy, driving automation, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our platforms. You’ll work in an agile, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and vision for the DevOps team, defining and implementing best practices for infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of DevOps pipelines and infrastructure
• Optimize and maintain existing solutions to ensure performance, security, and scalability
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and product owners to align DevOps practices with business goals
• Champion best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native development
• Mentor and support team members in DevOps tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define cloud infrastructure strategy and roadmap, aligning with overall business goals
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing DevOps team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
• Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, driving automation, efficiency, and agility within the software delivery lifecycle
• Maintain a deep understanding of Azure services, IaC tools, and DevOps methodologies to solve complex technical challenges
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to various stakeholders, including developers, senior management, and clients
• Identify and address technical debt within the infrastructure, proactively implementing solutions for long-term maintainability and scalability

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience with a proven track record of success
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (writing, planning, applying)
• Proficiency with Docker and containerized applications
• Experience with serverless architectures and Azure Functions
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially in Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with time-series databases
• Experience writing unit and integration tests for infrastructure and deployment code
• Proven experience in designing, architecting, and implementing large-scale, secure, and reliable Azure solutions
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing DevOps teams
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Relevant Azure certifications are highly preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate)
• Strong strategic and business acumen

Desirable:

• Cloud: Unmatched expertise in Azure services, best practices, and architectural patterns
• IaC Mastery: Advanced proficiency in ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or other IaC tools with the ability to design and manage complex infrastructure as code templates
• Scripting and Programming Expertise: Strong scripting skills (Powershell, Bash) and proficiency with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) for building robust automation solutions
• Security Champion: Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, security automation, compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO), and incident response strategies
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills, fostering a positive team environment, inspiring innovation, and effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Multi-Cloud: Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
