What will you contribute?
Scrum Master is a challenging position focused on team functionality, will work with a broad set of team members focused on new product deployment into Cloud infrastructure and existing product support architecture and automation. Scrum Master is responsible for monitoring the scrum process and scrum meetings. The individual will increase the teams efficiency, motivates, argue for change that will ensure quality and timeliness ;Also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Guiding the team and organization on how to use Scrum practices and values to align with Finastra's mission; Guiding the team on how to get the most out of Scrum process. ; Identify roadblocks and guide the team to remove the impediments by challenging the status quo or right person to remove the impediment ; Help cultivate a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on self-resolution and problem solving ; Facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution. ; Assisting with internal and external communication with stakeholders, improving transparency, and federating information. ; Supporting training and education of client delivery managers' teams, product owners, and consumers of automation team solutions. ; Monitor and improve architecture and cloud automation service desk queues (EPIC.) ; Document policies and best practices ; Create and maintain technical documentation for deployment and support procedures ; A high degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management
Knowledge / Skills
Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least on year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory ; Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency ; Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the internal gaps left in the Scrum approach ; Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people, such as engineers and non-technical coworkers ; Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Paring, Automated Testing, Agile games. ; Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. ; Knowledge of general security practices ; Self-starter with the ability to balance many tasks with changing priorities. Proven ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and successfully prioritize work ; Strong decision-making skills. Able to analyze different options and make a clear recommendation ; Excellent communication and mentoring skills ; Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision ; Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills ; IT/Server Administration background to interface with other IT professionals when discussing technical needs. Be able to translate those needs into monitoring solutions.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience working with Azure in a high-tech environment required ; Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least on year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. ; Experience integrating custom scripts/automation tools with REST APIs ; Experience with CI/CD Pipelines ; 2 years of Enterprise Experience in a large environment
Key Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint and knowledge of MS Project or like tools; Knowledge of industry standard Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools ; Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time, on budget and with the approved scope. ; Ability to manage multiple software development, implementation, or technical consulting projects simultaneously ; Expert at managing large complex highly integrated projects within a technical environment ; Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to develop, lead, and motivate high-performing and diverse teams. ; Proficient in defining stakeholder communication requirements and developing and delivering communication plans.; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong meeting facilitation meeting skills. Ability to accurately estimate project activities and project budgets.
Ability to control costs while maintaining quality.
Proficient in process and standards development, implementation and continuous improvement
Ability to identify new opportunities to add value to clients through additional tools and/or services desired.
EXPERIENCE & Skills Required : 8Yrs
8+ years experience in project or program management
6+ years experience leading technical and non-technical resources.
Experience assisting project management teams with identification of action items, tasks and activities and tracking progress
Experience at defining, implementing and continually improving standards, processes and procedures utilizing industry best practice (PMI, CMMI, etc.)
Experience In Successfully Working Within a Matrix Organization Structure
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree - Business or Technology or equivalent experience
PMP Certified preferred
