Overview

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Ionic Angular Mobile App Developer for a freelance/contract role. The primary responsibilities include modifying existing features, upgrading outdated dependencies, and ensuring the app remains compatible with the latest versions of Android and iOS platforms. This role requires expertise in analyzing code, resolving compatibility issues, and enhancing performance.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the existing Ionic (Angular-based) codebase and implement functional/UI updates.
• Upgrade project dependencies (Ionic, Angular, Capacitor/Cordova) to stable versions.
• Address compatibility issues related to Android/iOS OS updates.
• Optimize app responsiveness and overall performance.
• Ensure seamless functionality across multiple devices.
• Collaborate with the internal team to refine app features based on user feedback.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in mobile app development using Ionic Framework (v4 and above) and Angular.
• Strong proficiency in Angular (v12+), TypeScript, and RxJS.
• Hands-on experience with Capacitor and/or Cordova plugins.
• Expertise in upgrading legacy Ionic apps and resolving dependency conflicts.
• Familiarity with native mobile capabilities and debugging tools (Xcode, Android Studio).
• Understanding of App Store / Play Store submission processes.
• Experience in integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control best practices.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Experience with Firebase, Push Notifications, or Ionic Native plugins.
• Knowledge of manual/automated testing (Jasmine, Karma).
• UI/UX improvements and responsive design implementation.

Contract Details:

• Type: Freelance / Contract
• Location: Remote on Call / In-Person
• Duration: Estimated 4–6 weeks (extendable based on scope)
• Start Date: Immediate
• Compensation: Based on experience and scope of work
• Should be able to demonstrate changes made to the app.
• Must be available for calls or in-person meetings to discuss requirements.
