The Role: Frontend Lead Software Engineer, Development

The Impact

You will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and evolution of our Angular-based web applications that enhance user experience. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment while appreciating the structure and discipline needed to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and lead initiatives to modernize and scale our platform using Angular, AWS Lambda, CI/CD, and modern DevSecOps tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead front-end architecture, design decisions, and development efforts for scalable Angular applications.
  • Collaborate with back-end engineers, UX designers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver features that meet user and business needs.
  • Drive best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and performance optimization.
  • Implement and enforce code quality, maintainability, and security standards using tools such as SonarQube and Mend.
  • Contribute to and manage technology upgrades to maintain a modern and maintainable codebase.
  • Mentor, train, and help hire junior and mid-level developers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive engineering culture.
  • Champion agile processes and ensure rapid, reliable delivery of product features.


Education/Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional front-end development experience, including 5+ years with Angular (v15 or later).
  • 3+ years of experience working with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and component-driven development.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline).
  • Solid understanding of unit testing frameworks (Jasmine) and end-to-end testing
  • Familiarity with security and code quality tools such as Mend and SonarQube.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead teams, conduct code reviews, and guide junior developers.
  • Experience working in agile environments and balancing speed with software quality and stability.
  • Familiarity with JSON and RESTful Web Services
  • Experience working with large data sets and databases
  • Experience with Agile development approach and methodologies
  • Capable of performing tasks in a dynamic/changing environment
  • Experience in the automotive domain is a plus


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Angular state management libraries.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, AWS deployment, and front-end performance monitoring.
  • Prior experience in startups or high-velocity environments with structured delivery processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).


Organizational Relationships:

  • Reports directly to technical manager.
  • Interacts with other colleagues at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities
  • Participates in meetings with internal stakeholders to assess business need
