Full-Stack App Developer (React Native + Django/Python)

About the Role
We’re hiring a Full-Stack App Developer to take full ownership of our proprietary mobile app — live on the App Store, actively used by clients, and built for scale.

Our app is built with a React Native frontend and a Django/Python backend, with a growing set of features that support a high-value client experience. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the entire stack. This role starts with a full handover from the current developer, and offers the opportunity to build and lead a team as the product scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full application stack – frontend (React Native), backend (Django/Python), database, APIs, and deployment
• Lead development of new features, enhancements, and integrations based on product roadmap
• Maintain and optimise backend infrastructure, including performance, data models, and security
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive user interfaces
• Deploy updates to the App Store and Play Store, ensuring compliance with app submission guidelines
• Ensure reliability and uptime by managing error handling, server maintenance, and bug fixes
• Plan for scale: Identify technical improvements and infrastructure changes required as usage grows

What You Bring

• 3+ years of full-stack development experience, including React Native and Django/Python
• Proven experience with live, client-facing apps, including deployment, debugging, and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, database architecture, and cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Heroku, or similar)
• Frontend expertise in JavaScript, React Native components, Figma-to-code implementation
• Backend experience with Django models, views, and authentication
• Familiarity with app store release management for iOS and Android
• Self-driven and reliable, with the ability to independently manage and grow a complex product
