Full Stack Developer Intern

Overview

Rretoriq is an AI-powered communication training platform designed to help students improve their speaking skills through structured practice and real-time AI feedback.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer Intern who is passionate about building real-world products and wants hands-on experience working in a startup environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across both frontend and backend technologies and eager to contribute to improving and expanding the platform.

Since the core product is already under development, the role will involve enhancing existing features, maintaining the codebase, UI enhancements, fixing bugs, adding new functionalities and maintaining the system.

The candidate will work closely with the founding team to improve and expand the Rretoriq platform, contributing to both frontend and backend development.

Required Skills

Frontend

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• React.js
• TypeScript (basic understanding)
• Responsive UI development
• Familiarity with modern frontend tools (Vite / Tailwind preferred)

Backend

• Node.js
• REST API development
• Understanding of serverless functions

Database

• Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases
• Experience working with Firebase Firestore or similar databases

General Development

• Git / GitHub version control
• Understanding of debugging and problem-solving
• Ability to understand and work with existing codebases

Good to Have

• Experience with Firebase ecosystem
• Familiarity with AI API integration (Gemini / OpenAI)
• Experience with serverless deployments (Vercel / Firebase)
• Knowledge of validation libraries such as Zod
• Exposure to testing frameworks
• Participation in hackathons or personal development projects
