Functional Test Engineer

For end-to-end testing, ensuring the successful execution of test cases and bug tracking.

Plan and implement the overall test strategy, including test plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

Design and develop test cases and test scenarios based on system requirements and design specifications.

Coordinate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and ensure the testing process aligns with project goals.

Oversee the execution of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Conduct risk analysis and prioritize testing efforts accordingly to ensure critical areas are covered.

Track, manage, and report defects, ensuring they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

Review and improve test processes, tools, and techniques to enhance testing effectiveness and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Ensure proper documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.

At least 8 years of experience in designing test cases for functionally rich and complex applications.

Familiarity with data structures, SQL queries, and stored procedures.

Strong track record of writing functional and regression test suites in a financial services organization.

Good communication skills. Must be able to understand requirements and explain solutions, test scripts, and results to business stakeholders and the team.

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Able to investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot tasks.
