As a Senior Associate in PwC US - Acceleration Center’s CEDA (GenAI) practice, you will be a hands-on software engineer focused on designing, building and deploying production-ready data and AI solutions. Working closely with engineering managers, architects and data scientists, you will turn complex business requirements into reliable, well-tested code and cloud-native services that unlock actionable insights and next-generation AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Python/FastAPI micro-services, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions or similar serverless components, and containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
- Write unit/integration tests, perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and empower CI/CD via GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar.
- Work in Agile squads, refine Jira tickets, create technical documentation and knowledge-share with peers.
- Instrument services with logging/metrics, investigate incidents, and improve performance and reliability.
- Write SQL/Python ETL, transform and load structured & unstructured data into data lakes/warehouses (S3, ADLS, Cosmos DB, SQL DB, BigQuery, etc.).
- 4-6 years of professional software development experience, preferably in data-intensive or AI-enabled products.
- Strong Python programming with a solid grasp of object-oriented principles; experience in JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, EventBridge/Event Grid, API Gateway, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL DB, S3, ADLS and managed Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).
- Practical knowledge of Docker and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with GenAI/AI/ML fundamentals; exposure to RAG or vector search techniques is advantageous.
- Proficient with GitHub (branches, PR workflows), Jira (or equivalent ticketing systems) and creating clear documentation (e.g., Markdown, Confluence).
- Working knowledge of front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, React/Angular) sufficient to collaborate on end-to-end solutions.
- Experience implementing automated tests, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Contribution to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search and prompt engineering to enhance Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.
- Contribution to open-source projects or tech communities.
- Cloud certification (AWS Developer Associate, Azure Developer or GCP Professional Cloud Developer).
- Experience with data governance, security and compliance best practices.
