Overview
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst with deep expertise in Claims and BillingCenter modules, along with strong domain knowledge in Homeowners Insurance. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in requirement gathering, process analysis, and functional solutioning for a key insurance modernization initiative. This is a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation efforts of Guidewire ClaimsCenter and BillingCenter, ensuring alignment with business processes.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Support configuration and integration teams with functional clarifications and assist in testing and validation of solutions.
- Identify gaps in current systems and recommend improvements or Guidewire best practices.
- Work closely with QA teams to define and execute test scenarios for Homeowners Claims and Billing workflows.
- Participate in system demos, UAT sessions, and production validations.
- Serve as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Homeowners Insurance processes related to claims and billing.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the P&C insurance domain.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimsCenter and BillingCenter.
- Strong understanding of Homeowners Insurance claims lifecycle and billing processes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proven ability to document business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with user story creation, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Guidewire certification(s) in ClaimsCenter or BillingCenter.
- Experience with other Guidewire modules (e.g., PolicyCenter) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project management tools.
