GyanSys - Lead Data Analyst

Overview

Role Overview :

GyanSys is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Lead to manage and deliver data-driven projects across the organization. This role combines data platform expertise with strong project management capabilities.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Databricks and modern data platforms, while primarily acting as a data project lead responsible for planning, execution, and stakeholder management. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, business teams, and leadership to ensure successful delivery of data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Project Leadership :

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of data and analytics projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and business objectives.
• Define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  
  

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for data project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and outcomes.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

• Provide guidance on the effective use of Databricks and modern data platforms for data processing, analytics, and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability of data pipelines and datasets.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, data management, and analytics workflows.
  
  

• Identify potential project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of data solutions.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

• Provide mentorship and guidance to data engineers and analysts working on project deliverables.
• Promote best practices in data management, analytics development, and project execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging data technologies, and analytics frameworks.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or analytics, with at least 2 years of experience leading or managing data projects.
• Strong understanding of Databricks and modern data platform capabilities.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end data or analytics project delivery.
  
  

• Solid understanding of Databricks and its ecosystem for data processing, analytics, and data engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with data pipeline architectures and modern data platforms.
• Experience working with SQL and large-scale data environments.
• Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and data integration concepts.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
