Job Description - Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL, Power BI, and Databricks, who will primarily work on Mutual Funds portfolio analytics.

The role involves managing data lake/warehouse operations, analyzing fund and portfolio performance, and delivering insights to investment, product, and business teams.

The ideal candidate should be technically strong and capable of translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities - Operational

• Collaborate with investment, product, and business teams to gather analytics and reporting requirements related to mutual fund portfolios.
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL, Power BI, and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports covering portfolio performance, AUM trends, returns, risk metrics, and investor behavior.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support fund performance reviews, benchmarking, and portfolio composition analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal data governance standards.
• Build and optimize SQL-based data models to support portfolio and financial analytics.
• Exposure to large-scale financial or market data platforms is an added advantage.
  
  

• Support portfolio analytics initiatives including performance attribution, risk-return analysis, and trend identification.
• Translate business and investment requirements into scalable analytical and reporting solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to align on data definitions, KPIs, and insights delivery.
• Contribute to automation and standardization of recurring portfolio and MIS reports.
  
  

• B.E/B.Tech/M./M. Tech/BSc/MSc in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, Finance, BDA, AIML, or related fields.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics roles, preferably within financial services, asset management, or investment analytics
