Hiring for AWS DevOps Engineer + Linux Administrator

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain highly available Linux systems in AWS environments (Ubuntu/CentOS)
• Provision and manage AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.)
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Code Pipeline
• Automate infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Manage and troubleshoot production incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure and services using CloudWatch and similar tools.
• Enforce security best practices including patch management, least privileged IAM roles, and encrypted storage.
• Administer Git repositories, SSH key management, and code access workflows.
• Support developers by managing staging, UAT, and production environments.
• Create and maintain system documentation and SOPs.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration (user management, hardening, package handling, scripting).
• Deep understanding of AWS services — EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, EBS, RDS, etc.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practice in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and access control management.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Shell, or Python for automation and system tasks.
• Experience with monitoring, log management, and performance tuning.
• Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Terraform, Cloud Formation, for infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and/or orchestration using Kubernetes (nice to have) SOC2, ISO
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or multi-region deployments.
