Position Title: Technical Business Analyst

Function: IT Department

Reports To: Senior Product & Delivery Manager

Role Purpose

The position holder will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions under the guidance of Senior Product & Delivery Manager as well as the Enterprise Architect. They will closely work with stakeholders from various departments to understand business requirements and translated them into technical specifications.

The position holder will interface with on-shore business and off-shore development centre. They will be responsible for understanding and translating business, technical, functional, and non-functional requirements into the solution design artefacts to enable developers and testers to create efficient and reliable IT solutions.

Where I Fit In

This is a brand new role in a recently restructured Digital and Architecture team. Sitting under the Enterprise Architecture area, this key role will work across all facets of the business. The role will ensure business requirements are translated to technical specifications with great attention to detail. There will be interaction with all departments at RSC and sometimes with HJs stores nationwide. The development arm of the team in based off-shore and will be a major contact point for this role. This role will use a variety of communication methods to ensure nothing is missed in conveying the requirements.

Essential

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in IT or related
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Technical BA or similar
• Experience in tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, Postman
• Strong understanding of IT security
• Experience in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google
• Experience with business and technical requirement analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
• Experience with middleware platforms such as Oracle SOA, OIC, Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Jitterbit or Dell Boomi.
• Experience in relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Content Management Systems
• Experience with API management platforms like Azure APIM, Kong, Apigee etc.
• Knowledge of common system integration methods and technologies including MFT, B2B, Web services, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSD, ANSI ASC X12, EDIFACT, Business process automation and orchestration tools and software
  
  

Desirable

• Experience in QSR industry
• IIBA/BABOK certification
• Experience with Gen AI platforms
• Experience in EA tools such as Hopex, Ardoq, iServer, Abacus etc.
  
  

Competencies

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery and regression test of commercial software
• Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, IT teams and internal stakeholders
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle with good understanding of Agile tools
• Previous experience with web and mobile technologies
