Overview
The impact you’ll makeEnsures that trusted, accurate HR data is available at the right time, in the right format for business users. Documents metrics, builds solutions and automates tasks to eliminate manual process steps, whenever possible. Responds to employee data and reporting inquiries, questions and bugs/tickets, across all business units.
What You’ll Do
Power BI report-related Development, Enhancement and Support
- Review existing Power BI reports and the related SQL code and optimize both for performance, upgrade to align with current corporate enterprise standards and update reports to implement current HR and Power BI best practices for reporting and analytics
- Following professional, industry and corporate best practices, create new Power BI reports for HR reporting requirements, querying using SQL to pull data from Microsoft Fabric databases - Lakehouse(s) & Synapse.
- Embed proof of report accuracy and completeness into each Power BI report (additional pages of visuals, documentation, etc.)
- Regularly participate in enterprise analytics review meetings, to gain approval for HR reports, learn about other work going on across the business and build relationships
Data Modeling, Data Analysis and Data Processes Support
- Analyze existing HR datasets and provide input into a comprehensive HR data model to be used for a minimum of 5 years.
- Regularly analyze HR Data and metrics
- Expand and enhance Visier People Analytics per business requirements
- Create data validation queries, perform data audits and other data quality checks. Then, automate each.
- Provide L2 and L3 support for issues across all HR reporting technologies: tools, data warehouses and systems
Business Analysis, Partner with Global IS/IT
- Interview requestors, business leaders and other business partners to identify needs, consult regarding available options and partner to deliver projects that meet needs and not just requests.
- Act as Reporting Solutions team representative on project teams, to ensure data- and reporting-related requirements are identified early in the project lifecycle and solutions are delivered that meet both current and future needs.
- Coordinate and partner across HR and other business units to deliver on projects
- Manage beyond delivery to ensure adoption of delivered reports, metrics and tools. We don't just deliver reports based on a request; we deliver business process impacts
Minimum of total 9+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree;
Minimally, candidates should have (broken out by various skills) experience in each of the following:
- 5+ years of strong SQL coding experience
- 5+ years of experience in building complex reports, dashboards, and applications in Power BI (especially for Human Resources). Strong proficiency and expertise in DAX.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel Skills (i.e., Power Query, Power Pivot, VLookup, data tables, pivot tables, VBA, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience driving success through partnerships with Global Information Systems (GIS) for ETL creation, data modeling, security modeling, testing, implementation, annual audits, and required sustaining activities for a reporting data warehouse
- Significant experience performing data analysis, data cleanup, and report publishing
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile multi-geographic environments
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modeling, with experience using various technologies (i.e., Azure, SAP BW, Power BI)
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication & presentation skills in the English language
- Strong experience in optimizing and troubleshooting the dashboards and providing the recommendation on the design
- Ability to work independently and must be able to articulate and successfully implement the proposed solution
Preferrably, candidates should have (broken out by various skills) experience in each of the following:
- 8+ years’ experience with reporting and analytics projects, teams, tool creation, and data management, across multiple business models
- 8+ years of experience with writing, debugging and optimizing SQL code across multiple database technologies (SQL Server, Microsoft Lakehouse, Denodo, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience working with Human Resources (i.e, Leadership, Support, Centers of Excellence, Business Partners) in delivering people-related reports and analytics
- 2+ years of experience with Visier People Analytics
- Experience in data federation, master data management, virtualization tools and data processing and audit automation (i.e., Informatica, Axon, Denodo)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power technologies (Lakehouse, Synapse, Notebooks - PySpark, PowerApps, Flows, etc.)
- Technology - Understands many technology applications (i.e., SuccessFactors HCM, Visier, ServiceNow, PowerBI, WorkHuman, Excel, PowerApps, SharePoint, Teams) and coding languages (i.e., SQL, M Query, DAX, VBA, .Net, Visier VFL)
- Experience in conducting exploratory data analysis and providing recommendations for improvements that better enable business insights

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
