Job Description & Summary: At PwC, our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. Within Advisory, PwC has a large team that focus on transformation in Government through Digital inclusion. The open position is for a candidate who desires to work with government clients and bring about a change in society. A successful candidate will be expected to work pro-actively and effectively on multiple client engagements over the period of time and take ownership of the entire project delivery he/she entrusted with.

Responsibilities:

· Lead the cloud strategy, design and implementation roadmap for complex government IT infrastructure projects. · Design highly available, scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud architectures in alignment with MeitY guidelines, CERT-In advisories and data residency norms. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing IT landscapes and define cloud adoption or migration plans (private/public/hybrid/multi-cloud). · Define target architecture including compute, storage, network, security, backup, DR and monitoring. · Prepare technical documentation including architecture blueprints, solution design documents, SOPs and deployment guides. · Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, security standards and cloud best practices. · Provide technical leadership during cloud PoCs, RFP evaluations, implementation and handover. · Evaluate and recommend cloud service providers (CSPs) and third-party tools for orchestration, automation, monitoring and governance. · Support capacity planning, cost optimization and performance tuning of cloud environments. · Liaise with stakeholders from and other technology vendors.

Mandatory skill

sets: · Expertise in designing and deploying solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. · Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and APIs. · Experience with cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption and compliance. · Deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS delivery models and hybrid cloud setups. · Proven experience in cloud migration of enterprise or legacy systems. · Familiarity with Indian government IT infrastructure norms, MeitY cloud guidelines (GI Cloud/MeghRaj) and data localization policies. · Ability to drive discussions with C-level stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.


Preferred skill sets: · Cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect. · Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates). · Exposure to data center modernization, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise network architectures. · Understanding of OpenStack, private cloud implementations and cloud management platforms. · Prior experience working on e-Governance, Smart Cities, Digital India, or mission-mode government projects. · Strong technical writing, proposal development and client presentation skills.

Years of experience

required: · 8 to 12 years of total IT experience, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture or infrastructure design roles.


Education

qualification: · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. · Additional certifications in cloud platforms, IT architecture, or project management (TOGAF, PMP) are an added advantage.
