Operations Technology

Operations Technology develops and maintains systems in support of Morgan Stanley's global Operations , including (but not limited to) Settlements, Confirmations, Regulatory Reporting, Position Keeping, Corporate Actions processing and other post-trade functions. Operations Technology is a global organization that is client-focused and functionally aligned. Our organization is built to support our clients functional, regional and business-facing requirements while delivering innovative technology and ensuring plant and processing stability. The Firm operates at scale with up to 40 million trades processed on peak volume days and hundreds of billions of dollars of daily settlements with activity ongoing in multiple countries and currencies across the globe. There is a great breadth of financial products that our Operations plant handles across equity and fixed income, from cash products to complex derivatives and loans.

What You’ll Do In The Role

To support the complexity and diversity of our business, a strong governance, control and risk management programme is required. The Operations group is a core part of this effort in helping the Firm identify and track the effectiveness of key protocols supporting this effort. Reconciliation team partnering with Global operations group focuses on providing smart, cost effective, optimal and holistic solutions to the Operations groups across various business units. This enables them to perform various checks and controls to ensure the accuracy of the Firms Books and Records along with mitigating risks to the Firm (Settlement, Operational and Systemic).

In This Role, Person Will Be Responsible For

• Proactive engagement and interaction with the various stakeholders to understand and capture requirements
• Working with multiple squads to enhance and build out new reconciliations and other functionality
• Designing and implementing reusable components that add functionality to the existing infrastructure
• Automate the testing and deployment capabilities thereby enabling the team to be Agile
• Ensuring proper tooling is in place to monitor and improve stability of the plant
• Handling production issues and user tickets
• Working with the global and local managers to effectively manage the India team
• Working in a global team environment
  
  

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• Around 8+ years hands on experience on Intellimatch Classic / Intellimatch NextGen
• Experience with ETL tools like Informatica.
• Experience in Agile Methodology, Agile development practices
• Self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly motivated to expand their technical and business knowledge and understanding.
• Prior experience of working in Finance industry and in global teams
• Strong expertise in relational databases (preferably SQL server), including schema design ,Dynamic SQL, complex SQL development, and performance tuning.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python) for automating data cleansing, transformation, or workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with popular Python libraries for data (e.g., Pandas, Numpy).
• Knowledge of one popular Python framework (Flask, Django, etc.).
• Experience working with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
• At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
