Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior iOS Developer with 10+ years of experience to join our pediatric healthcare team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of advanced iOS applications, from the initial design and architecture to the final release and maintenance. You will work independently and with cross-functional teams to ensure the mobile apps are scalable, secure, high-performance, and provide a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End App Development: Lead the entire lifecycle of iOS app development, from ideation and design to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• App Architecture & Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance architecture for mobile applications, ensuring compliance with best practices and security standards.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, product, and backend teams to ensure smooth integration of mobile applications with other healthcare platforms and services.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize the app’s performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing best practices for performance tuning.
• App Submission & Compliance: Handle the app submission process, ensuring that apps are published on the Apple App Store in accordance with Apple’s guidelines and regulations.
• Security & Data Privacy: Ensure that sensitive healthcare data is handled securely, implementing strong encryption, and complying with healthcare privacy regulations.
• Code Maintenance: Maintain and update the app codebase regularly, ensuring compatibility with future iOS versions, and addressing any emerging issues.
• Feature Development: Develop new features based on evolving healthcare needs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of user experience and functionality.
• Testing & QA: Oversee testing to ensure the app is bug-free, functional, and user-friendly. Integrate automated testing and manage code reviews.
• Mentorship & Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and contributing to a high-performance development culture.

Skills & Experience:

• Expertise in iOS Development: 10+ years of experience in developing and maintaining iOS applications using Swift, Objective-C, and Cocoa Touch.
• Comprehensive iOS Framework Knowledge: Expertise in Core Data, Core Animation, UIKit, and other essential iOS frameworks.
• End-to-End Development: Strong experience with every stage of the iOS development lifecycle—design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
• Performance & Optimization: Advanced skills in optimizing app performance, managing memory, handling offline data, and improving app speed and reliability.
• API Integration: Proven experience in integrating RESTful APIs, with a strong understanding of backend communication and synchronization.
• User-Centered Design: Strong understanding of Apple’s design principles to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Push Notifications & Cloud Integration: Experience with integrating push notifications, background tasks, and cloud messaging APIs.
• Continuous Integration & Automated Testing: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and maintaining high-quality code.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Ability to work independently and provide guidance to junior developers, ensuring alignment with team goals and technical standards.
