Overview

We are seeking a Hands-On Technical Asset Manager to manage the complete IT asset lifecycle, maintain accurate asset records using Unix scripting, ensure compliance, and support asset management processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT asset inventory (hardware and software).
• Oversee asset lifecycle from procurement to retirement.
• Track asset movements, assignments, and disposals across teams.
• Develop asset tracking, auditing, reporting, and automation processes.
• Generate inventory, utilization, and compliance reports.
• Ensure asset data integrity and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Maintain applications and infrastructure supporting asset management.
• Establish and improve IT asset management best practices.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of IT Asset Management experience in medium to large enterprises.
• Strong Unix scripting experience.
• Experience with OpenText or similar enterprise asset management tools.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and end-user devices.
• Strong knowledge of web applications and deployment processes.
• Proven integration experience across business applications and infrastructure services.
• Experience in process design, workflow optimization, and automation.
• Strong reporting, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management frameworks.
• Experience with compliance and audit requirements such as SOX, GDPR, and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• CITAM or similar IT Asset Management/Compliance certification preferred.
