IT Engineer

Overview

The IT Infra Support to provide enterprise-level assistance to end users in diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems also help in installation of applications and programs.

IT Infra Support responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support. Also will use email and chat applications to give clients quick answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals.

IT Infra support should be good team players and should take responsibility of Site Administrator role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

• Install and configure computer applications. Monitor and maintain computer networks.
• IT infrastructure support; inclusive of network devices, server room, server systems and company phone system maintenance support as well as day-to-day IT operations and administration support.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot all the PC hardware and software issues in accordance with corporate policies, standards and procedures. In charge of IT asset management including procurement and inventory management, perform PC hardware maintenance arrangement and reimaging activities
• Responsible for supporting user-end IT requirements and maintain high user satisfaction of IT service. Provide effective service for end users.
• Manage data backup as part of the disaster recovery plan
• Responsible for maintaining the local IT infrastructure to ensure the system stability and reliability.
• Responsible for tracking and monitoring IT system usage; ensure that corporate IT standards and procedures are being implemented and maintained.
• Conduct and/or facilitate training for employees on software / hardware / new IT tools & processes
• Control IT expenses and ensure cost effectiveness
• Establish and support a positive work environment based mutual respect, honesty, team work and continuous improvement.
• Manage & monitor Servers, Networking and Security infra.
• Troubleshoot basic networking and server issues.
• Coordinates problem analysis of server software and hardware problems, finding the resolution of server and storage related software problems, participates in software and hardware evaluation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• The incumbent operates as an Individual contributor & reports to Manager – Information Technology (Infrastructure) and support him in all day to day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company.
  
  

• Diploma / Bachelors in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent
• Service oriented and proficient in ITIL concepts of IT service delivery
• Proven experience as IT Infra Support or similar role.

  • Able to work with the team or independently with minimum supervision
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
