We are looking for an IT specialist to support our customers in the development & implementation electronic batch management solutions. This team plays a crucial role in delivering digital factory solutions by translating complex process requirements into optimized control strategies and MBRs using advanced MES platform.
You will work in an innovative, multi-disciplinary team of engineers and consultants focused on designing, developing, implementing and validating MES solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Your work will support clients in achieving compliant, efficient, and future-ready manufacturing operations.

How you might spend your days (Main Roles & Responsibilities)
- Lead and execute complex MES projects (PAS-X or other platforms), ensuring timely delivery, system integrity and compliance with pharmaceuticals production needs.
- Act as the go-to MES subject matter expert, leading small specialist areas or driving focus areas independently with high complexity and strategic importance.
- Manage end-to-end design and implementation processes; influence and develop procedures and policies based on advanced business and technical insight.
- Mentor and train the pool of junior/senior colleagues, review their work for compliance, and ensure delivery excellence within your domain.
- Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify areas of improvement and implement the best digital practices that enhance operational performance.
- Interface with Engineering, QA, Operations, and IT to align MES capabilities with business requirements and GMP compliance.
- Ensure all MES activities meet industry standards such as GMP, Annex 11, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity.
- Take responsibility for complex technical solutions and lead architectural decisions in major MES deployments.
- Contribute to service innovation by upgrading existing solutions and exploring new technologies.
- Participate in broader decision-making across the department and act as an expert advisor in interdepartmental discussions.
- Make critical decisions that impact their own team and possibly other teams or operational areas. Also contributes to broader decision-making within the department.

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
- B.E/B.TECH or M.E/M.TECH in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related life science/engineering field.
- Experience with MES platforms such as Körber PAS-X, Emerson Syncade, or any other proficient MES software.
- Understanding of DCS platforms, particularly ABB System 800xA or DeltaV or similar.
- Solid proficiency in MES architecture, ISA-88 modelling, and integration with automation layers (Level 2) and ERP (SAP).
- Demonstrated experience with development, testing, and validation of manufacturing systems in a GxP-regulated environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and GAMP 5 practices.
- Experience in consulting or project execution is a plus.
