IT Support Specialist

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, smart boards, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the school's computer systems and networks.
• Ensure all systems are up-to-date with security patches and antivirus protection.
• Manage user accounts, email setups, and access permissions.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
• Support audio-visual requirements during school events, meetings, and classroom sessions.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in the implementation and upgrading of IT infrastructure and systems.
• Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and IT policies.
• Train staff and students on basic IT usage and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar IT support role (preferably in an educational institution).
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and common school software applications.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, etc.).
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to be flexible with working hours when required.
