Overview
The Senior IT Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the hotel’s IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems are secure, functional, and aligned with the operational needs of the property. This position supports and oversees the daily operations of the IT department, resolves technical issues promptly, and helps implement technology solutions to improve guest experience and internal efficiency.
IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to hotel staff and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Maintain IT helpdesk logs and ensure timely resolution of support tickets.
Network & Systems Management
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and other network infrastructure.
- Manage and support servers, backups, user accounts, email systems, and security tools.
- Ensure the integrity and security of data, both on-premise and cloud-based.
Hotel Systems Maintenance
- Support and maintain Property Management Systems (PMS), POS systems, booking engines, key card systems, and telephone systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers and other hotel technology.
- Perform regular updates, patching, and backups to ensure systems are current and secure.
Project Implementation & Coordination
- Assist in the implementation of new technology projects (e.g., Wi-Fi upgrades, cloud migration, security systems).
- Work closely with the IT Manager and department heads to align IT with business needs.
- Document processes, systems configurations, and policies.
Compliance & Security
- Enforce IT policies and procedures including data privacy and cybersecurity protocols.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, and local data protection regulations.
- Monitor network activity to detect and respond to potential security breaches.
Team Support & Supervision
- Provide technical guidance to junior IT staff.
- Train employees on best IT practices, including cybersecurity awareness and system usage.
- Support the IT Manager in budgeting and vendor selection when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of IT experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of networking and hotel applications (
- Experience with virtualization , backup systems, and network security tools.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work on-call, weekends, or holidays if needed.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service expectations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
