IT Technician

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on IT Technician with around 2 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a good foundation in system administration and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain IT systems and infrastructure efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support servers and systems (Windows/Linux).
• Install and configure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
• Perform basic system backups, software updates, and patch management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
• Assist in implementing security measures including firewalls and antivirus tools.
• Manage user accounts and access controls (Active Directory, Group Policy).
• Maintain IT inventory and support procurement processes.
• Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
• Document IT processes and system configurations.
• Collaborate with other teams to support IT-related projects and initiatives.
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Around 2 years of experience in IT support or system/network administration.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
• Exposure to configuring and managing switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi networks.
• Understanding of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V preferred).
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Bash) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• [Optional] Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, MCSA) are advantageous.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios).
• Awareness of basic cybersecurity best practices.
