Job Description

As an Applied R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the user interface (UI) for Nokia’s Network Services Platform (NSP), a leading network management solution. Using technologies like React and Redux, you will build modern, user-friendly interfaces that support network automation and operations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, testers, product managers, and UX experts—in an Agile environment to refine requirements, deliver features, and ensure high-quality UI experiences.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• UI Development: Design and maintain NSP web interfaces using React and Redux to ensure responsive and intuitive user experiences.
• Component Integration: Seamlessly integrate new UI components into existing NSP applications, aligning with Nokia’s artifact lifecycle and platform standards.
• Agile Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, developers, testers, and product managers in Agile teams to refine and deliver features.
• Modernization: Deliver enterprise-grade, modern UI functionality that supports NSP’s automation and orchestration goals.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, debug, and resolve UI-related issues to maintain performance and reliability across NSP modules.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging UI technologies, Nokia SDKs, and best practices to enhance development quality.
• Documentation & Standards: Contribute to UI documentation and ensure adherence to Nokia’s design and coding standards.
• Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST/RESTCONF APIs and support data visualization from relational and graph databases.
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

You Have:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 2–4 years of professional experience
• Strong proficiency in UI technologies, particularly React and Redux
• Excellent JavaScript (ES6+) development skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Proven problem-solving skills, especially in troubleshooting UI-related issues
• Desirable: Familiarity with SQL/Relational Databases, Graph Databases, and REST/RESTCONF interfaces
  
  

It would be nice if you also have:

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with visualization libraries like D3.js or Chart.js for network data representation
