Java Backend Developer

The Java Backend Developer Engineer will be responsible for software development in a fast paced Agile/Scrum environment. He/she will also be accountable for delivering high quality software for the scrum team. He/she would partner closely with the Functional and Technical leads, and other teams as needed to deliver the right business outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• You will be part of an agile software team, responsible for designing, developing and testing software & services using Java language and other related technologies
• Write code/programs that meets standards and delivers desired functionality
• Apply principles of CI, Security, Scalability, Refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them

Proactively sharing information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, with 4-6 years of experience
• Experience in Java using RESTful web services with Spring & Spring boot
• 2+ year of AWS Cloud experience 4+ years of experience in Java
• Extensive Experience with Relational and no-SQL Databases, SQL, JDBC, Hibernate etc.,
• Experienced in JUnit and JSON, REST, Postman.
• Expert knowledge on Microservices, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Event Driven and messaging services systems such as Kafka
• Strong Object-Oriented design skills and understanding of MVC.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins to include branching, tagging and merging
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and technical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to work independently
