Java Developer - Spring Boot/Hibernate

Role Overview

As a Java Developer with 4-6 years of experience, you will be responsible for contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and secure Java-based applications.

This role requires a strong understanding of core Java principles, popular frameworks, and best practices in software :

• Design, develop, and implement high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical
  
  

systems, ensuring high-availability and performance.

• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code adhering to coding standards and best
  
  

practices.

• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other developers to understand
  
  

requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs.

• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Manage Java and Java EE application development, including full lifecycle maintenance.
• Ensure application designs comply with specifications and architectural guidelines.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Optimize existing code for better performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintain consistency, and share insights
  
  

on design patterns.

• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and
  
  

presenting these for architectural review.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications and
  
  

processes.

• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Java Skills and Qualifications :
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of proven professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, with an in-depth understanding of its ecosystems (JVM, JRE,
  
  

etc.

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
  
  

(Creational, Structural, Behavioral).

• Extensive experience with popular Java frameworks, especially Spring (Spring Boot, Spring
  
  

MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).

• Hands-on experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and Web Services.
• Proficiency with relational databases (e., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
• Experience with ORM technologies like JPA and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and related patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (e. , Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Knowledge of build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e. , Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e. , JUnit, Mockito).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
