Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Java Developer with 3–5 years of experience in backend development, who is proficient in Java, WebSocket, and real-time GPS tracking systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with GPS tracking devices, protocol parsing, and real-time communication using WebSocket, and is passionate about building efficient, low-latency systems for location-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement and manage WebSocket-based real-time communication for live data transmission.
• Integrate with and parse data from GPS tracking devices using various communication protocols (e.g., TCP/UDP, NMEA, GT06, Teltonika, or proprietary protocols).
• Develop API services for live tracking, route history, geofencing, alerts, and reporting.
• Handle and decode binary or hexadecimal GPS data formats from IoT tracking devices.
• Ensure efficient handling and processing of high-frequency GPS data streams with low latency.
• Build resilient and secure services with proper error handling and reconnection strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps) to implement tracking features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of backend development experience with Java 8+.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and WebSocket (including STOMP over WebSocket).
• Solid understanding of network protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTP, WebSocket.
• Experience working with and parsing GPS tracker protocols (binary or ASCII formats).
• Familiarity with GPS tracking platforms like Traccar, or custom GPS data servers.
• Proficiency in databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with multithreading, asynchronous processing, and I/O streams.
• Version control using Git, and experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Traccar protocol extension or custom protocol handlers.
• Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ for streaming GPS data.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with geolocation APIs (e.g., Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, reverse geocoding).
• Basic knowledge of front-end integration or mobile SDKs for GPS display.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
