Job Brief:
We are looking for a motivated Java Developer to come join our fast-paced, fun and rewarding agile team of professionals. You will be responsible for managing back-end services.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Java Developer with 1 -5 years of hands-on experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java programming and related technologies, a proven track record of delivering complex software solutions, and the ability to lead and mentor junior developers. This role will involve working on cutting-edge projects, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of software quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java applications and services. Implement new features and enhancements with a focus on performance, security, and reliability. Optimize and refactor existing code to improve efficiency and maintainability. Should be well versed with Spring boot framework. Should have in depth understanding of microservices architecture. Should be familiar with Software versioning tools like GitHub/bitbucket.
• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support in coding practices, design patterns, and problem-solving techniques. Collaborate with other senior developers and architects to define and implement technical strategies and best practices. Take ownership of complex technical challenges and drive them to resolution.
• System Architecture and Design: Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the design of scalable and modular systems. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks to meet project requirements. Ensure that system designs align with business goals and technical constraints.
• Code Quality and Testing: Maintain high standards of code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices. Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability. Collaborate with the QA team to resolve issues and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
• Agile Development: Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Break down complex tasks into manageable pieces and deliver them within the agreed timelines. Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our projects. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of development workflows. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration. Provide technical expertise and support to other teams and projects as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Skills: Extensive experience in Java development, including knowledge of Java SE/EE. Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures. Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Familiarity with NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and message brokers. Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of front-end technologies (React) is a plus. Prior experience in a lead developer or team lead role is highly desirable.
