About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in backend development, cloud technologies, and API integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GraphQL, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and React, along with a solid understanding of DevOps practices. Familiarity with UBS environments and banking projects will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java (latest versions), ensuring high performance and scalability.
  
• Work on Azure Cloud deployments, with a focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration.
  
• Design, develop, and integrate GraphQL APIs (minimum 2 years’ experience required) and REST APIs, ensuring efficient data exchange.
  
• Collaborate with front-end teams, leveraging React knowledge for seamless integration between backend and UI components.
  
• Participate in DevOps activities, including CI/CD pipeline setup, automation, and monitoring in the UBS environment.
  
• Implement GraphQL federation where applicable for scalable and modular API design.
  
• Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and adherence to security standards.
  
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet functional, performance, and compliance requirements.
  
• Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions to meet deadlines.
  

Must-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (latest versions).
  
• Expertise in Azure Cloud and Shared AKS.
  
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL (minimum 2 years) and GraphQL Federation.
  
• Knowledge of React programming.
  
• Familiarity with REST API design and development.
  
• Experience working in UBS environments and performing DevOps-related tasks.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  
• Creative, self-disciplined, and able to prioritize and complete critical tasks with urgency.
  
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  

Preferred

• Experience in banking domain projects.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills with both independent and team-oriented work styles
