Java Developer

Overview

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable Java-based applications using Dropwizard microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and integration requirements.
• Implement RESTful APIs and ensure their scalability and security.
• Write well-documented, efficient, and reusable code in Java and SQL.
• Optimize and fine-tune applications for maximum performance and scalability.
• Utilize AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) for cloud-based infrastructure and deployment.
• Work in a containerized environment using Docker for application deployment and scaling.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and database schemas, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices within the development team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Dropwizard microservices framework.
• Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, optimizations, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Experience working with containerization tools like Docker for deploying applications.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, and best practices.
• Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, React) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
