Java Developer (Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Agile)

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a proficient Java Developer to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will develop high-quality Java applications, contribute to design and implementation processes, and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions that support business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and uphold high standards of software performance. Your expertise will be vital in delivering scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions aligned with the company’s digital transformation goals.

Software Requirements

• Required:
• Java SE/EE (version 8 or higher)
• Frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, Struts
• Development tools: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, NetBeans
• Databases: MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
• Version control systems: Git
• Preferred:
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Additional ORM frameworks or microservices architecture knowledge
• Testing tools such as JUnit or TestNG
  

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Java applications in line with project specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with product owners and team members across multiple functions to identify technical requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with an emphasis on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
• Continuously improve application performance and scalability through code optimization and system tuning.
• Apply latest Java technologies and frameworks to innovate and improve existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and contribute to maintaining a high-performance development environment.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and safeguard data integrity across applications.

• Programming Languages:
• Required: Java (version 8+)
• Preferred: Knowledge of related languages such as Kotlin or Scala is a plus
• Databases/Data Management:
• Proficiency in SQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server for data manipulation and management
• Cloud Technologies:
• Basic experience with cloud platforms (preferred) for deployment and scalability
• Frameworks and Libraries:
• Spring Boot, Hibernate, Struts, REST API development

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Java development
• Proven hands-on experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts
• Demonstrated ability to work with relational databases and Java-based ORM tools
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment utilizing Agile methodologies
• Experience in designing scalable applications and troubleshooting production issues is desirable
• Industry experience in finance, healthcare, or enterprise solutions is a plus, but not mandatory

• Develop, customize, and maintain Java applications, ensuring they meet functional and performance criteria
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions swiftly
• Conduct code reviews and participate in continuous integration processes
• Write and update technical documentation, including design documents and user manuals
• Test applications for performance, security, and usability, and resolve identified issues
• Stay informed on the latest Java technologies and industry best practices, integrating them where beneficial
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted
• Professional certifications in Java development or related areas are an advantage
