As a Staff Consultant-Java Development, you will design, develop, and support microservices-based applications using Java and related technologies. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, improve existing systems, and help drive Oracle's digital initiatives in financial services. This is a full-time role based in India, requiring 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications & Skills
- Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong experience in developing and deploying microservices architectures using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data, or similar frameworks
- Good knowledge of RESTful web services and related technologies (JSON, Swagger, Postman, XML)
- Experience with cloud platforms (OpenShift, Azure, AWS)
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems
- Experience in message-oriented middleware (MQ, Kafka)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in implementing Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
- Exposure to mentoring junior developers
- Prior experience in financial services or consulting environments
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop microservices using Java technologies (Spring Boot, etc.)
- Collaborate with teams to identify and implement new products and improve existing systems
- Maintain documentation for microservices architecture, including design patterns and best practices
- Debug, troubleshoot, and provide production support for microservices applications
- Ensure high-quality code through reviews, testing, and continuous integration
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD processes for efficient development
- Integrate microservices with various internal and external systems
- Mentor and guide junior developers on architecture and best practices
- Do I have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in Java development and microservices architecture?
- Am I proficient in using Spring Boot and related frameworks for building scalable applications?
- Can I confidently work with RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes?
- Have I worked with message-oriented middleware such as MQ or Kafka in my previous roles?
- Am I comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers?
