The Team
Capability Hubs (CH) is a mature set of cross-functional capabilities that enable the go-to-market agenda, corporate functions and engagement support teams of KPMG firms.
Led by an experienced leadership team across six locations in India (Gurugram, Bengaluru, Kochi, Pune, Hyderabad and Noida) and supported by seasoned professionals with deep domain expertise, CH is dedicated to delivering value and achieving business outcomes.
Working closely with KPMG firms, which leverage our teams for enablement across functions such as Insights & Risk management, Sales Enablement, Digital Experience & Business Services, Technology Services and Transformation, CH forms an integral part of KGS’ strategy to innovate, build, scale and improve profitability.
Role Overview
The Junior Azure DevOps Engineer provides foundational support for DevOps automation and deployment activities for Azure Integration Services (AIS) solutions. Working under the guidance of senior DevOps engineers and established standards, the role assists with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and environment consistency for Azure integration workloads such as Logic Apps and Azure Function Apps.
This role is designed for early-career cloud professionals seeking to build hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps practices, cloud automation, and secure deployment patterns, with a clear pathway toward more advanced DevOps responsibilities.
Experience Band
2–4 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, application deployment, or operations support roles.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & Deployment Support
- Assist in building, configuring, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for:
- Azure Logic Apps (Consumption and Standard)
- Azure Function Apps
- Support pipeline executions across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments
- Validate deployment outcomes and report issues to senior engineers
- Assist with troubleshooting basic pipeline and deployment issues using defined procedures
Infrastructure as Code Support
Support execution of Terraform scripts to provision Azure resources including:
- Service Bus
- Azure Key Vault
- Storage Accounts
- App Services
Assist in reviewing Terraform plans, state files, and deployment outputs
Apply established IaC standards and naming conventions
Environment & Release Management
- Support environment configuration and release management activities
- Assist with build validations, approvals, and environment promotions
- Follow defined branching strategies and release workflows
Collaboration, Security & Documentation
- Work with Git repositories to commit changes and raise pull requests
- Apply secure configuration practices, including secrets management via Azure Key Vault
- Collaborate with developers and senior DevOps engineers to support deployment readiness
- Assist with maintaining pipeline documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experience
Essential
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services and cloud fundamentals
- Foundational knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts
- Exposure to Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Git-based source control and versioning practices
- Awareness of deploying Azure Logic Apps and Azure Function Apps
- Basic understanding of configuration management and environment variables
- Strong motivation to learn DevSecOps, cloud automation, and best practices
Preferred
- Microsoft Azure AZ-900 (Fundamentals) or AZ-104 (Administrator) certification
- Experience working in a DevOps, cloud support, or application operations team
