Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems, with a focus on Fortinet firewalls, Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches, and Cisco Wireless C9800 WLC environments.
- Monitor network performance diligently, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure stable and reliable operation.
- Collaborate effectively with senior network engineers to learn from their expertise and contribute to the development of scalable network designs and solutions.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of network security policies to protect critical data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on network equipment and apply necessary updates to configurations and firmware.
- Assist in the configuration and deployment of network devices within our enterprise infrastructure.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive network documentation, logs, and records to ensure compliance, facilitate troubleshooting, and support accurate performance reporting.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient service delivery, technical support, and timely resolution of issues.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls).
- Familiarity with network hardware, specifically Fortinet firewalls and Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches and Cisco Wireless C9800 WLC environments.
- Basic understanding of network security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and learn quickly.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
