About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled L2 Network Security Engineer to join our growing IT Security team. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network security operations, particularly in managing firewalls, supporting cloud security platforms, implementing Zero Trust solutions, and enforcing network access controls.
You will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of our infrastructure, collaborating with senior engineers, and contributing to incident response, monitoring, and threat analysis activities.

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled L2 Network Security Engineer to join our growing IT Security team. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network security operations, particularly in managing firewalls, supporting cloud security platforms, implementing Zero Trust solutions, and enforcing network access controls.
You will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of our infrastructure, collaborating with senior engineers, and contributing to incident response, monitoring, and threat analysis activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 2 operational support across firewall, NAC, ZTNA, and cloud security platforms.
- Configure and maintain Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls under the direction of L3 engineers or architects.
- Monitor and manage Zscaler ZIA/ZPA platforms, perform health checks, and handle escalated issues.
- Support the deployment, policy configuration, and management of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
- Assist with Aruba ClearPass configuration, endpoint onboarding, and issue resolution.
- Perform routine monitoring and tuning of Cloudflare WAF or similar web application firewalls.
- Collaborate with L3 engineers during incident response and root cause analysis.
- Conduct initial threat analysis, log review, and attack surface assessments.
- Follow and promote industry-standard Information Security Best Practices in daily operations.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- 3–5 years of experience in network security operations or technical support roles.
- Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto and Fortigate firewall solutions.
- Practical experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA for web and private application access.
- Understanding of Zero Trust principles and ZTNA environments.
- Exposure to Aruba ClearPass for NAC configurations and troubleshooting.
- Basic familiarity with Cloudflare WAF or equivalent web security technologies.
- Solid foundation in IT and data security principles and threat prevention techniques.
- Understanding of core networking protocols: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, VPNs.
- Ability to interpret and analyze security logs and basic threat indicators.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on documentation.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE2/NSE3, Zscaler Certified Associate, or Aruba fundamentals are a plus.
